XRP Drops 6.6% as Ripple Projects $900M Annualized Revenue by Year-End 2026

XRP declined 6.6% on Thursday despite positive business projections from Ripple, which expects to exit 2026 with a $900 million annualized product revenue run rate. The company’s expanding payments infrastructure, growing institutional partnerships and rising demand for its RLUSD stablecoin highlight its business expansion. However, stronger corporate performance has not translated into immediate gains for XRP. Weak cryptocurrency sentiment and bearish technical indicators continue to influence trading, leaving investors focused on whether the token can defend important support levels around $1.23-$1.24.

Ripple Targets $900M Revenue in 2026

According to its October 28 announcement, Ripple expects to finish 2026 with approximately $900 million in annualized product revenue. This represents a projected revenue run rate, rather than $900 million in revenue already collected.

The company’s Ripple Payments network is approaching $150 billion in cumulative transaction volume, with operations covering more than 60 international payout markets. Ripple also reported that more than 1,700 financial institutions, corporations and enterprises use its infrastructure.

Its business includes cross-border payments, digital asset custody, stablecoins, prime brokerage and corporate treasury management. The company also highlighted growing institutional relationships with BNY, Robinhood, DBS and HSBC.

Another important development is the expansion of Ripple USD (RLUSD). The dollar-backed stablecoin reached a $2.6 billion market capitalization, increasing more than 88% year-to-date.

Key business developments include:

  • Revenue: $900 million projected annualized run rate by year-end.
  • Payments: Nearly $150 billion in cumulative network volume.
  • Institutional adoption: More than 1,700 organizations using Ripple infrastructure.
  • RLUSD: $2.6 billion market capitalization, up over 88% year-to-date.

These figures demonstrate Ripple’s growing commercial operations, although they do not guarantee an increase in XRP’s market value.

Garlinghouse Defends XRP’s Utility

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has rejected concerns that RLUSD could eventually reduce the importance of XRP within the company’s ecosystem.

He described the two digital assets as complementary rather than competing products. RLUSD provides businesses with a dollar-denominated digital payment option, while XRP serves as a potential bridge asset for transactions between different currencies.

A bridge asset helps facilitate transfers between currency pairs without requiring direct liquidity in every market. According to Garlinghouse, XRP’s relatively low transaction costs and scalability make it useful for international payment corridors.

The distinction is important because stablecoins are designed to maintain a fixed value, whereas XRP has a market-driven price that fluctuates with supply, demand and investor sentiment.

XRP Price Forecast and Key Levels

XRP’s technical structure remains bearish despite Ripple’s business expansion. The cryptocurrency is trading below its important short- and medium-term moving averages, indicating that sellers continue to dominate the near-term market.

The 20-day exponential moving average is around $1.324, while the 50-day average is approximately $1.396. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is near 35, indicating weak momentum and proximity to oversold conditions.

According to October 30 market data, traders are monitoring these important levels:

  • Immediate support: $1.23-$1.24.
  • Additional support: $1.20 and $1.17.
  • First resistance: $1.26-$1.30.
  • Stronger resistance: $1.37 and $1.46.

A sustained break below $1.23 could expose XRP to further losses, while a recovery above $1.30 would provide an initial indication of improving momentum. Reclaiming the moving-average region around $1.33-$1.40 would be important for a stronger recovery.

Conclusion

Ripple’s projected $900 million annualized revenue run rate and expanding payments network highlight its growing position in digital financial infrastructure. However, XRP continues to face selling pressure as investors distinguish corporate growth from token demand. RLUSD adoption, institutional partnerships and cross-border payment activity could strengthen Ripple’s ecosystem, but XRP’s price recovery will depend on broader market sentiment, liquidity and its ability to reclaim major technical resistance levels.
