Cardano Price Forecast: ADA Surges 6% as $0.2632 Breakout Eyes $0.30

Cardano (ADA) is extending its recovery after gaining about 6% on Sunday, with the token trading near $0.269 on Monday. Current market data shows ADA has moved decisively above $0.26, while derivatives activity points to renewed speculative interest. Investing.com data shows ADA reached an intraday high near $0.2708 on Oct. 5.

The key test is now the $0.2632 area. A sustained break above that level would strengthen the bullish setup and expose the $0.30 psychological threshold, followed by the previous swing high near $0.3136.

ADA Futures Demand Strengthens Rally

Derivatives positioning is adding weight to the recovery. Data from CoinGlass shows ADA futures Open Interest increased 15% over 24 hours to about $614.98 million, indicating that more capital is being committed to active contracts.

Liquidations also favored buyers. About $2.02 million in ADA futures positions were liquidated over the same period, including roughly $1.89 million in short positions. The imbalance suggests that bearish traders were forced out as ADA accelerated higher.

The funding rate remained positive at 0.0101%, compared with 0.0100% previously. Positive funding generally means long-position holders are paying shorts to maintain their contracts, reflecting stronger demand for bullish exposure.

  • ADA gained about 6% on Oct. 4.
  • The token climbed above $0.26 on Monday.
  • Market capitalization was around $9.7 billion based on recent market data from CoinGecko.

The latest move is also notable because ADA’s recovery has been accompanied by increased trading activity. That combination gives the advance more credibility than a price move occurring on thin participation.

$0.2632 Resistance Holds Key to $0.30

The technical structure remains constructive. The Cardano token is trading above its 200-day exponential moving average (EMA) near $0.2472, while the 50-day and 100-day EMAs stand around $0.2244 and $0.2146, respectively.

The immediate technical barrier is the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement at $0.2632, calculated from the $0.3136 high to the $0.1385 low. The level is important because a confirmed breakout would indicate that buyers have regained control of a major portion of the previous decline.

A decisive daily close above $0.2632 would strengthen the case for a move toward $0.30. Clearing that level could put the $0.3136 swing high back into focus. A larger extension target sits at $0.3916, corresponding to the 127.2% Fibonacci extension.

Momentum indicators support the bullish case but also warn that the move is becoming stretched. The daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) is near 69, close to overbought territory, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains above the zero line.

ADA Support Levels Define Downside Risk

The bullish structure remains intact while ADA holds above its key moving-average support. The first important defense sits at the 200-day EMA near $0.2472. A break below that level would weaken the immediate breakout setup and shift attention toward $0.2328.

Further downside levels include the 50% Fibonacci retracement near $0.2260 and the 50-day and 100-day EMAs around $0.2244 and $0.2146. These areas could become important if traders take profits after the recent advance.

Key levels to watch:

  • Resistance: $0.2632, $0.3000 and $0.3136
  • Support: $0.2472, $0.2328 and $0.2260
  • Extended upside target: $0.3916

Conclusion

ADA’s latest advance has moved the market into a critical technical zone. Rising futures Open Interest, positive funding and heavy short liquidations indicate that speculative demand is supporting the recovery. However, the $0.2632 Fibonacci barrier remains decisive. A sustained breakout above it would strengthen the path toward $0.30 and $0.3136, while a rejection followed by a break below $0.2472 would signal that the rally is losing momentum.
