Pi Network Price Forecast: PI Holds $0.0800 as Stablecoin Plans Take Shape

Pi Network (PI) is stabilizing near $0.0800 after a roughly 2% rebound on Tuesday helped the token avoid a fresh decline below its recent low. The recovery comes as the Pi Core Team explores stablecoin integration with Open Standard, the company behind Open USD (OUSD), to expand payment and reward opportunities across its ecosystem. However, the technical picture remains bearish: PI is trading below key moving averages, and support at $0.0774 remains vulnerable if sellers regain control.

Pi Network Explores Stablecoin Integration

In an October 8 update, the Pi Core Team said stablecoins could support activities where price stability is important, including payments and ecosystem transactions. The team emphasized that any integration should complement PI rather than replace the token’s role as the network’s primary cryptocurrency. It also said implementation would be developed cautiously, with compliance among the considerations.

The initiative builds on Pi Network’s relationship with Open Standard, the organization behind OUSD. Pi said it would explore reward programs for Pioneers and broader utility across its ecosystem. Open Standard’s stablecoin launched in September 2026, with founding partners including Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe and Visa. However, the partnership does not mean OUSD has already been integrated into Pi Network or that a launch date has been confirmed.

The proposal could broaden the ways users transact within the ecosystem, but its market impact will depend on implementation, adoption and the practical benefits offered to users. For now, stablecoin exploration represents a potential utility development rather than a confirmed source of immediate demand for PI.

PI Price Faces Bearish Technical Signals

PI traded around $0.0804 on Wednesday, October 14, according to market data, following Tuesday’s approximately 2.09% gain. The token’s rebound has not yet reversed its broader downward trend.

On the supplied daily chart, PI remains below its 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $0.0882 and its 200-day EMA at $0.1256. These averages track recent and longer-term price trends; trading below both suggests that sellers retain the advantage.

The MACD indicator remains slightly negative and below its signal line, while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) near 38 indicates weak momentum. Although the RSI is approaching oversold territory, that alone does not confirm a reversal.

The key technical levels are:

  • $0.0774: Immediate support and the critical downside threshold.
  • $0.0827: The 23.6% Fibonacci retracement, acting as near-term resistance.
  • $0.0882: The 50-day EMA and a stronger recovery hurdle.
  • $0.0990: The 50% Fibonacci retracement and a potential upside target if momentum improves.

Conclusion:

A confirmed break below $0.0774 could expose PI to the $0.0704 swing low. Conversely, a move above $0.0827 would provide initial evidence of recovery, with the 50-day EMA at $0.0882 the next major barrier. A sustained advance beyond that average could open a path toward $0.0990.

Stablecoin integration may strengthen Pi Network’s longer-term utility, but it does not eliminate near-term price risks. Until PI reclaims key resistance levels, the technical outlook remains cautious.
