NEAR Protocol Price Forecast: $5 Support Holds as ETF Inflows Extend

NEAR Protocol traded above $5 on Friday, holding most of a 7% rebound from the previous session as investors assessed fresh institutional demand and network developments. The Bitwise NEAR ETF recorded $1.13 million in inflows on Thursday, while the network expanded its multi-party computation (MPC) infrastructure to 17 independent mainnet operators. Governance-approved HSP-007 incentives also establish a protocol-funded framework for supporting node operators. Despite improving sentiment, NEAR’s next challenge is to break resistance near $5.58 and $6.00 as technical momentum remains moderate.

ETF Inflows and Network Growth

According to the supplied SoSoValue figures, Bitwise’s NEAR ETF , which trades under the ticker NRR, attracted $1.13 million on Thursday. Weekly inflows reached $9.04 million, following $13.05 million the previous week. Another positive session on Friday would extend the fund’s inflow streak to three consecutive weeks.

These flows suggest that some investors are seeking regulated exposure to NEAR without directly holding the token. However, ETF inflows alone do not guarantee sustained price appreciation, particularly in a volatile cryptocurrency market.

Network developments provide another potential source of support. NEAR’s MPC infrastructure enables multiple independent operators to participate in cryptographic signing processes used by services such as NEAR Intents and Chain Signatures.

The network’s HSP-007 governance proposal establishes performance-based compensation funded through protocol emissions. This replaces reliance on initial grants with a more structured incentive system overseen through House of Stake governance. Official program updates reported 17 eligible mainnet operators in September 2026.

The arrangement could help sustain infrastructure participation, although token emissions also introduce a cost that investors should consider when evaluating the network’s long-term economics.

NEAR Price Tests Key Resistance Levels

NEAR traded around $5.2380 in the supplied market snapshot, remaining above the four-hour 50-period Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $5.1115. The rebound also kept the token clear of the 200-period EMA at $4.4480, which may become relevant if selling pressure returns.

Momentum indicators are cautiously constructive. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has moved above its signal line, producing a positive histogram. Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) near 53 indicates modest buying pressure without showing an overbought market.

Important technical levels include:

  • $5.11: Initial support at the 50-period EMA.
  • $4.53: Lower support near the recent swing low.
  • $5.58: Immediate resistance at the September 28 high.
  • $6.00: Key breakout threshold for a stronger recovery.
  • $6.91: Potential upside extension based on the cited Fibonacci projection.

A sustained move above $5.58 could open the way toward $6.00. A decisive break above $6.00 would strengthen the bullish case, while a fall below $5.11 would weaken the recovery and expose the $4.53–$4.45 support area.

Conclusion

NEAR’s recovery above $5 is supported by reported ETF inflows and an expanding MPC operator network, but confirmation from price action remains important. Continued fund demand and a break above $5.58 could improve the outlook toward $6.00. Conversely, losing $5.11 would increase downside risk. Investors should monitor fund-flow data, governance-funded emissions and technical levels together rather than treating any single signal as decisive.
