Financials, Infrastructure and Agriculture Weigh as USD/IDR Rises 0.52% and Oil Slips
Selling pressure concentrated in the Financials, Infrastructure and Agriculture sectors dragged the broader index lower. Large-cap banking names and other heavyweight stocks contributed to the decline, reflecting cautious sentiment. Broader risk-off tone in regional markets, softer oil prices and a stronger U.S. dollar against the rupiah added to the negative pressure. Gains in a handful of smaller-capitalisation stocks provided limited support and failed to offset the wider market weakness.

IDX Pulls Back After Friday’s Close Near 6,526 as Breadth Turns Negative
The IDX Composite had closed the previous week higher, with the index ending Friday at around 6,525–6,526 levels after a positive session. Monday’s pullback reversed early gains seen at the open. The session occurred against a backdrop of mixed Asian markets and elevated global yields, with investors monitoring commodity price moves and currency fluctuations. Steady Safe’s jump to a record high stood out amid otherwise soft trading conditions. Market breadth remained negative, with more stocks declining than advancing.
Focus Turns to Economic Data, Bank Indonesia Signals and Rupiah Stability
Investors will watch upcoming economic data releases, corporate earnings and any policy signals from Bank Indonesia. Movements in the rupiah, oil prices and regional equity markets are likely to influence near-term direction. Attention will also focus on whether foreign flows stabilise and whether key sectors such as Financials can recover in the sessions ahead.
