Solana Price Forecast: $101 Holds as ETF Inflows and Network Activity Rise

Solana is consolidating around the $100 psychological level after gaining roughly 3% Monday, with the token holding near $101 on Tuesday. The price action comes as institutional demand remains positive and network activity strengthens, giving SOL fundamental support despite a technically neutral market. Investors are also watching Tuesday’s U.S. Senate vote on the CLARITY Act, a major cryptocurrency market-structure bill that could influence sentiment across digital assets.

SOL was trading around $102.5 on September 15, according to CoinMarketCap data, after closing Monday at a similar level following a 3.27% daily gain.

Network Upgrade Lifts Activity

Solana’s network fundamentals are improving as its transaction infrastructure expands. The latest upgrade increases the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, a 3.3-fold increase. Solana says the new Transaction V1 format can accommodate larger workloads, including zero-knowledge proofs, large multisignature transactions and more complex on-chain applications.

The upgrade is important because larger transactions can support applications that previously could not fit within Solana’s transaction-size limit. That could broaden the network’s utility without requiring existing legacy and v0 transactions to change.

The supplied Blockworks data also show a sharp increase in network activity. Weekly revenue rose to $45.35 million from $32 million, while real economic value increased to $6.33 million from $5.36 million. Transaction activity reached 1.07 million, compared with 966,862 in the prior week.

Together, those measures point to stronger economic use of the blockchain rather than a price move driven solely by speculation.

ETF Flows Keep Institutional Demand Firm

Institutional positioning is another source of support for SOL. Farside Investors’ latest published U.S. Solana ETF data show cumulative net inflows of about $1.316 billion across tracked products through September 11. The same dataset shows particularly strong flows into several products, although individual daily results have become mixed.

The supplied market data point to $11.01 million of inflows on Monday, extending a reported streak of weekly inflows. That direction is significant because sustained ETF buying can provide a more durable source of demand than short-term leveraged trading.

Solana’s institutional story is developing alongside the regulatory debate in Washington. The Senate is scheduled to vote Tuesday on a motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 3633, the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. Reuters reports that the revised bill contains 126 significant changes intended to address Democratic concerns, although its path through the Senate remains uncertain.

SOL Technical Levels Define Breakout

On the four-hour chart, SOL remains slightly above the 50-period EMA near $101.72 and the 100-period EMA around $100.71. It is also comfortably above the 200-period EMA near $96.06, preserving a modestly constructive medium-term structure.

The 78.6% Fibonacci retracement near $101.51 provides another layer of nearby support. Meanwhile, the converging trendlines create a symmetrical triangle, suggesting that a decisive move could follow the current consolidation.

The important levels are:

  • Immediate support: $100.71
  • Secondary support: around $98.00
  • Major support: $96.06
  • Resistance: $104.82
  • Breakout target: $110.60, then $123.32

Momentum indicators remain close to neutral. The MACD sits marginally above its signal line and is moving toward zero, while the RSI near 51 shows only a modest bullish advantage.

A sustained break above $110.60 would complete a stronger bullish signal and open the Fibonacci extension near $123.32, implying close to 20% upside from the $101 area. Failure to defend $100, however, could send SOL toward $98 and then the 200-period EMA near $96.06.

Conclusion

Solana’s setup is supported by improving network economics, continued institutional ETF demand and a major protocol upgrade, but price remains trapped in a technically defined consolidation range. $100–$101.51 is the immediate defense, while $104.82 is the first breakout hurdle. A move through $110.60 would strengthen the bullish structure and put $123.32 in view. Until then, the Senate’s CLARITY Act vote, broader crypto sentiment and Solana’s ability to maintain network activity will remain important catalysts for SOL.
