Qualcomm Stock Surges 23% in One Month as AI Deals Lift QCOM Above $201

Qualcomm stock has moved above $201, extending a strong rally as investors respond to a series of major AI and semiconductor developments. QCOM has gained roughly 23% over the past month and nearly 59% over six months, putting the shares at multi-month highs.

The biggest catalyst is Qualcomm’s expanded partnership with Amazon Web Services. The companies are developing customized silicon for AI data centers across multiple generations, with the agreement tied to up to $60 billion of Amazon purchases of data-center products over 10 years. Qualcomm expects revenue from the partnership to begin in the December quarter.

Qualcomm Expands Into AI Data Centers

The Amazon agreement is important because Qualcomm is trying to reduce its dependence on smartphones by building a larger AI data-center business.

Qualcomm is targeting approximately $5 billion in data-center revenue for fiscal 2027 and more than $15 billion by fiscal 2029. Management has said customized silicon revenue should begin ramping in fiscal 2027, followed by AI accelerator and CPU revenue in subsequent periods.

The Amazon relationship also includes optical connectivity technology designed for increasingly demanding AI data-center networks. Qualcomm said the collaboration will cover optical connectivity solutions starting at 1.6T and future generations.

The significance of the deal is therefore larger than the headline $60 billion figure. That amount represents purchases tied to Amazon’s warrant agreement rather than $60 billion of guaranteed Qualcomm revenue. Reuters reported that Amazon received warrants linked to purchases of up to $60 billion of Qualcomm data-center products.

Apple Deal and Snapdragon AI Push

Qualcomm has also extended its global patent license agreement with Apple, providing another important element of its long-term business relationship. Qualcomm listed the Apple patent agreement among its latest September announcements.

At the product level, Qualcomm is simultaneously pushing deeper into on-device AI. The company recently introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, built around a 2nm process and designed for agentic AI workloads.

Qualcomm says the new platform delivers a 5GHz Oryon CPU, a redesigned Adreno GPU and a faster Hexagon NPU. The company is positioning the chip for smartphones that can perform more AI processing directly on the device rather than relying entirely on cloud computing. This gives Qualcomm exposure to two different AI growth areas: data-center inference and on-device AI.

Is QCOM Stock Rally Justified?

The rally has been supported by tangible commercial developments, but the valuation question is more difficult. The figures in the original analysis put QCOM at roughly 23.3 times trailing earnings and 19.1 times forward earnings, while the proprietary InvestingPro model cited a Fair Value estimate of approximately $202.66 against a share price near $201.97.

That estimate is not a guarantee of future performance. It is a model-based valuation output, and the actual stock price will depend on earnings growth, margins, handset demand, automotive expansion and execution in data centers.

The technical picture also suggests caution after the sharp advance. A StochRSI near 88 indicates stretched short-term momentum, while the $201–$202 area has become an important technical zone.

For investors assessing the next move, $205.85 is a level cited in the original technical analysis as a potential breakout trigger, while the $180 area represents a much deeper potential support zone.

Conclusion

Qualcomm’s move above $201 is backed by several meaningful catalysts, particularly the Amazon AI infrastructure partnership, its expanding data-center ambitions, the Apple patent agreement and its new generation of AI-focused Snapdragon processors.

However, the $60 billion Amazon figure should not be interpreted as guaranteed revenue, and much of Qualcomm’s future valuation depends on whether its new data-center business reaches the company’s ambitious revenue targets.

At current levels, the key question is no longer whether Qualcomm has entered the AI infrastructure race. It has. The bigger question is whether future earnings growth can justify the higher valuation following the stock’s rapid 23% monthly advance.
