Bitcoin climbs toward $67K after a 6% rebound as CLARITY Act optimism and Fed rate-cut expectations boost crypto sentiment. Read the latest market outlook.
Bitcoin Rally Gains Strength
Bitcoin is extending its latest recovery as improving regulatory sentiment in Washington and growing expectations of lower U.S. interest rates encourage investors to increase exposure to digital assets. The world’s largest cryptocurrency is approaching the $67,000 level after rebounding nearly 6% from this week’s low, while Ethereum has delivered even stronger weekly performance.
Bitcoin traded at $66,259 on Tuesday morning, marking a 1.3% gain over the previous 24 hours and recovering from a weekly low near $62,517, according to CoinGecko data. Ethereum followed the upward trend, trading at $1,930.83, posting a 0.4% daily increase and a 3.3% gain over the past seven days. By comparison, Bitcoin advanced approximately 2.5% during the same period.

The recovery reflects renewed confidence across digital asset markets after investors responded positively to a combination of supportive macroeconomic data and expectations that long-awaited cryptocurrency legislation in the United States could move closer to becoming law. These developments have improved market sentiment following weeks of uncertainty.
CLARITY Act Drives Optimism
A major catalyst behind the rally is renewed attention on the CLARITY Act, legislation designed to establish a clear regulatory framework for digital assets by dividing oversight responsibilities between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
The bill cleared the U.S. House of Representatives in July 2025 with a decisive 294-134 vote before advancing through the Senate Banking Committee by 15-9 in May. However, disagreements over ethics-related provisions delayed further progress, preventing a Senate floor vote.
Recent reports suggest lawmakers are discussing a compromise that could remove the remaining obstacles before Congress begins its August recess. Market participants view this deadline as particularly important because postponing action until next year could significantly reduce the bill’s chances of passage.
Several factors explain why investors are closely monitoring the legislation:
- Establishes clearer regulatory responsibilities for crypto assets.
- Could reduce legal uncertainty for exchanges and developers.
- May encourage greater institutional participation.
- Supports long-term growth of the U.S. digital asset industry.
Greater regulatory clarity has remained one of the crypto industry’s most significant priorities, making legislative progress a powerful driver of market confidence.
Fed Outlook Supports Crypto
Macroeconomic conditions are providing an additional boost to cryptocurrency prices. A weaker-than-expected U.S. June employment report showed the economy created only 57,000 jobs, well below market forecasts. The disappointing data strengthened expectations that the Federal Reserve could lower interest rates later this year.
Recent comments from Federal Reserve officials suggesting that productivity gains driven by artificial intelligence may help contain inflation have further reinforced those expectations. Softer inflation readings have also improved the outlook for risk assets, benefiting cryptocurrencies alongside equities.
Trading activity reflects renewed investor interest. Bitcoin’s 24-hour trading volume reached $31.68 billion, increasing roughly 1%, while Ethereum recorded a sharper 11% rise in daily volume to approximately $11.7 billion.
Despite the recovery, both assets remain significantly below their historical peaks. Bitcoin continues to trade about 47% below its all-time high of $126,080, while Ethereum remains approximately 61% below its record $4,946.05.
Looking ahead, the market’s next direction will likely depend on two critical factors: whether the Senate schedules a CLARITY Act vote before the August recess and whether upcoming inflation data continues supporting expectations for Federal Reserve rate cuts. Positive developments on both fronts could extend Bitcoin’s advance toward and beyond $67,000, while disappointing legislative or economic news may quickly reverse recent gains.
